Chuncheon National University of Education (CNUE) has been selected as the “2025 Leading University for Unification Education” by the Ministry of Unification and will receive 150 million won in state subsidies annually for the next four years. The “Leading University for Unification Education” program is designed to foster universities to provide unification education systematically, comprehensively, and creatively. This program aims to raise awareness of unification among university students by encouraging discussions on unification through developing, disseminating, and implementing excellent models and programs for university unification education and cultivating creative talents for the unification era. Professor Chu Byung-Wan from the Department of Ethics Education, who leads the program, plans to adopt a holistic approach that encompasses university culture, curriculum, and extracurricular programs, focusing on fostering transformational leaders in education who can provide excellent unification education.
